Tuchel would be returning to the role after leading Chelsea as their coach in 2021–2022.
He won the Champions League with the Blues at that time, but after being fired in September 2022, Graham Potter took his place.
It is acknowledged that he has always been interested in the position at United. However, that would require Erik ten Hag to be sacked prior to that occurring.
