According to the source, Eddie Howe feels that Callum Wilson and the other experienced players are essential to his plans for the remainder of the season, which is why he does not want them sold or loaned out this month. Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Wilson for a January transfer.
The Daily Mail has also stated that AC Milan is keen to sign the 31-year-old this month and is considering doing so. In addition, should Newcastle agree to the transfer, the striker is willing to negotiate with the Rossoneri.
Newcastle is on the verge of breaking Premier League sustainability and profitability standards, but they are unwilling to part with the two key players. With this relocation, they will have greater operational space subject to sustainability and profitability regulations.
Though Trippier’s long-term replacement is expected to be Tino Livramento, who cost roughly £40 million ($50.8 million) to sign from Southampton, Newcastle feels their captain is still crucial to the team’s hopes for this season at the very least. The same is true for Wilson, who Howe believes is an experienced striker despite Alexander Isak having already surpassed him in the pecking order.
