Transfer: Jadon Sancho Completes return to Borussia Dortmund on Loan: Jadon Sancho has returned to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United on a loan that will last through the 2023–2024 season. In 2021, Sancho left the Bundesliga team to play 82 games, score 18 goals, and provide six assists at Old Trafford.

Sancho’s departure puts an end to a disagreement that has been brewing between him and United manager Erik ten Hag, which has kept him out of the starting lineup since August.

Sebastian Kehl, the sports director of Dortmund, stated in a statement posted on the team’s website: “I’m excited to see Jordan return to the black and yellow uniform soon. He is an absolute difference player. He understands this city, Signal Iduna Park, our fans and our club.

“Even though he hasn’t played any competitive games in the past few months, we are sure that he will quickly settle back in with us, get into top form and use his qualities to help us achieve our goals for the season.

Under manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho lost favor at United and hasn’t played for the team since August, when they defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2.

“When I came into the dressing room today, it felt like ‘coming home’. I know the club inside and out, I’ve always been very close with the fans here, and I’ve never lost contact with those in charge.

“I can’t wait to see my team-mates again, go out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, prepare goals, score goals and help qualify for the Champions League.” Sancho said.

When Ten Hag, the Dutch coach, criticized Sancho’s training results, their relationship blew out.
On social media, the athlete disputed Ten Hag’s allegations and stated, “I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue.”

Sancho was ordered to train apart from the first team while the disciplinary matter is still pending after he declined to apologize.

Sancho has played 82 games for United since leaving the German team for a fee of £73 million in 2021. He has scored 12 goals and provided six more assists in that time.

His lone trophy with the team came via a substitute appearance in United’s 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle United.

He came to Dortmund in 2017 after graduating from Manchester City’s academy, and in 137 games, he contributed 64 assists and 50 goals.
