The Marlian chief and the socialite were brought before the court by the Lagos State Police Command, who asked for a 30-day detention.
But Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun mandated that the two be placed under a 21-day remand.

Lagos, Yaba – On Wednesday, October 4, a Magistrate Court in the Yaba neighbourhood of Lagos placed Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, and his ally, Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry, under arrest.
The Lagos State Police Command arraigned Naira Marley and other individuals in front of the magistrate court, requesting that they remain under arrest for the next thirty days while the investigation was still underway.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry were taken into custody by the Lagos State police command upon their return to Nigeria. Concurrently, the security services have pledged to support their inquiry into Mohbad’s passing.
The police earlier on Wednesday said that Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, was wanted for Mohbad’s killing and had a N1 million reward on him.
The N1 million bounty was issued by CP Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, according to a statement made by Benjamin Hundeyin, the command spokesman for the Lagos State Police.
According to a recent revelation from Prophet Elijah, “Mohbad died of loneliness”.
Contrary to popular belief, Prophet David Elijah of the Glorious Mount of Possibility Church stated in an earlier story by Legit.ng that the singer passed away from loneliness.
He claimed that despite the late Mohbad’s cries for assistance, no one in his immediate vicinity came to his aid.
