Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Germany, has stated that Thomas would stay in his position and that his refusal to step down stems from his passion to continue fighting.

Jan-Christian Dreesen, the club’s CEO, further emphasized that the troubled head coach won’t be fired.
