Awoniyi to make his Nottingham Forest return against Arsenal:b Taiwo Awoniyi, who is recovering from injury, may return to action for Nottingham Forest against Arsenal on Tuesday, according to the EnoughInfo.

Although not fully healthy, Espirito Santo stated at a news conference held prior to the Gunners’ visit that Felipe, Anthony Elanga, and the Super Eagles striker have all returned to training and have been named in the starting lineup.

“Awoniyi is in the process of recovering and getting the fitness levels right. It was our decision to bring them to the group. Instead of waiting for them to be 100 per cent ready, we decided to bring them in and after that, we will decide,” Nottingham Forest head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.

Awoniyi had a groin injury while on international duty in October 2023.The 26-year-old underwent surgery and has been missing since.

With four goals and two assists in his first ten Premier League games, Awoniyi made a strong start to the season for Nottingham Forest.

He was their leading scorer last season, with ten goals.
