Rema becomes first African artist to win Chinese music award:  Divine Ikubor, AKA Rema, is a well-known singer from Nigeria who created history by being the first African musician to win a Chinese music award.

The singer accomplished this after winning Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2024 Hito Music Award in the Republic of China with his song “Calm Down” remix featuring American superstar Selena Gomez.
