World Bank Legal Internship Program:
The World Bank Legal Internship Program – Fall 2023 is now accepting applications. Highly motivated law students get the chance to learn about the goals and activities of the Legal Vice Presidency and the World Bank by participating in this programme.
Through the World Bank Legal Internship Program, people may contribute fresh viewpoints, ground-breaking concepts, and cutting-edge research experiences to the organization’s everyday operations and hone their legal expertise while working in a diverse setting.
By closely working with professionals in the Legal Vice Presidency, the program aims to provide you with first-hand experiences of the regular operations of the World Bank.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the legal services provided by the Legal Vice Presidency and take part in high-profile events and conferences as a member of the team, working closely with exceptional and motivating development professionals and senior management.

Duties:
As they occur over the Internship Program’s duration, interns will probably be involved in a wide range of duties, including:
- Carrying out a range of legal tasks under the supervision of the supervising attorney(s).
- Doing research on specified topics utilising legal precedents and alternative sources (such as computer-assisted searches using the internet, intranet, and/or other databases), analysing data, and synthesising conclusions. How To Stop Being Naive(Step by Step)
- Doing comparative legal assessments on a variety of topics in a certain field, finding legal and policy problems, looking for pertinent precedents, and coming up with workable remedies.
- Teaming up with the supervising attorney in task or project groups(s).
- Helping to prepare for and manage conferences and meetings.
- Completing special projects at the supervisory attorney’s request(s).
Eligibility:
- Do you have nationality from one of the IBRD’s member states?
- When you will be doing your internship with us, would you be enrolled in an LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or comparable legal academic programme? (e.g. if you apply for the Summer Cycle of LIP, you must be enrolled in an eligible legal academic program between June and August)
- Possessing a strong grasp of the English language, would you say?
If your answers to these questions are affirmative, you may be a candidate for an internship in the Legal Vice Presidency. Candidates with a solid grasp of a second language, especially if it is one of IBRD’s working languages, will be given priority. (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
