Study Away, Go Abroad, and other CSUF travel and scholarship initiatives. To qualify, you have to have made at least at least nine units in American Studies and get admission to a travel and study program offered by CSUF. Requirements for Steiner.

A $1,500 grant was established by Hilary and Nick Steiner for students who are studying abroad in Asia. During her whole academic year, Hilary (CLA ’05) studied abroad in Japan, and Nick spent his post-university career teaching English in rural China. While applications for other study-abroad places will also be taken into consideration, the Office of Programs for Study Abroad will give precedence to students who will spend a semester or a year studying in Asia.
