Saint Obi, a veteran Nolywood actor, passes away at age 57.
Obinna Nwafor, a seasoned Nollywood actor well known as Saint Obi, has passed away.
Obinna Nwafor Listen, often known as Saint Obi, was a Nigerian actor, producer, and director who lived from 16 November 1965 – 7 May 2023. At the University of Jos, Obi studied in theatre arts. She made her acting debut in a Peugeot television commercial in 1996. He would go on to star in more than 60 films. Obi created Take Me to Maama in 2001, a film in which he played Jerry with Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel, and Enebeli Elebuwa.
On May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State, the gifted thespian passed away at the age of 57.
Apparently, the actor passed away at the residence of one of his siblings.
His death wasn’t announced for over a week, according to insiders, because of disagreements amongst his siblings.
At the time of writing, it is unknown what exactly caused his passing.
In the meanwhile, it was reported that his remains had been placed in the mortuary of the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
Recently, the actor moved into his sister’s house in Jos.
