Lagos police Finally exhume Mohbad’s body for autopsy
The police stated that once the exhumation was completed, there will be an autopsy.
Concerns have been aroused by Mohbad’s death on Tuesday as Afeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley. He is the owner of the Marlian Record Label, has been implicated.
In the early days following his death, there have also been accusations and denials over his fortune from his distant relatives.
Nigerians questioned why he was buried in Lagos’ Ikorodu the day after he passed away. And to which his father replied that it was a family Yoruba ritual.
To seek justice for him, youths in Nigeria have organised nonviolent protests.
In addition to the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s request that the Department of State Service (DSS) participate in the inquiry, both the Nigerian police and the Lagos police command pledged to look into his death.
On Thursday morning, Mohbad’s body was exhumed, according to Lagos Police spokesperson Ben Hundeyin. “There will be an autopsy,” he stated.
