Emilio Nsue retires from International football: Emilo Nsue, the top goal scorer at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, has declared his retirement from international football. He is from Equatorial Guinea.

Nsue’s departure from the Equatorial Guinea national squad follows his suspension for misbehavior by the nation’s football federation.
Teodora Nguema, the vice president of Equatorial Guinea, announced the 34-year-old’s retirement on Tuesday night.

Nguema stated, “After discussions, captain Emilio Nsue López has declared his retirement from the national team. I acknowledge his contributions over the 12 years he has represented the Nzalang Nacional and wish him success in his future endeavours.”
After scoring five goals in the AFCON in the Ivory Coast, the prolific striker was awarded the Golden Boot.
Nsue surprised a lot of people with his outstanding performance in the Ivory Coast, where he was largely unknown before the event.
Emilo Nsue works for Intercity in the third division of Spain.
