Dotun’s ex-wife Taiwo found guilty of contempt, risk jail term
Despite the court’s decision, Taiwo has refused to let her divorced husband access to their children since December 2022, giving no explanation. Dotun filed a lawsuit as a consequence, which led to a recent, intense, and violent social media battle between the two.
The court ruled that Taiwo had broken the order when she refused to grant Dotun Kayode custody and access to the children in December 2022, and it found her guilty of doing so. Additionally, Taiwo was given a 30-day deadline by the court to pay N200,000 or risk jail time until the fine was paid.
Reports state that when the decision was rendered, Dotun’s estranged wife’s solicitors attempted to renounce their representation, almost creating a little scene.
