Breaking News: Former SGF Adamu Fika is Dead
Fika died in mid-flight on Tuesday on his way back from a London hospital to Kaduna. Where he had been undergoing treatment for an unspecified disease.
Funeral prayers will be performed in the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna. This will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.,
Fika was born in 1933 in Fika, present-day Yobe State. He had a distinguished civil service career, serving as Permanent Secretary of numerous federal ministries, including Internal Affairs, Commerce, and Communications.

He also served as the Federation’s Head of Civil Service and made significant contributions to Nigeria’s growth.
Fika was also the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, as well as the Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Board of Trustees.
For his outstanding service, he was awarded the title of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) by the Federal Government in 1992.
