According to The Athletic, Mahrez will undergo a medical and sign a three-year contract with the Saudi Pro League team, with an option for an additional year.
As the transaction is finalized, Mahrez has been granted permission not to travel on City’s pre-season tour to Asia, with the rest of the squad departing on Wednesday.
Mahrez will be the latest in a long line of Premier League players to sign for the Gulf state, joining Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, Roberto Firmino, and Ruben Neves, with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho potentially joining.

Pep Guardiola will almost certainly return to the transfer market to find a replacement for Mahrez, given his significance to City’s triple last season. Raphinha from Barcelona is one of the names mentioned thus far.
