The main player for Inter Miami, Lionel Messi, made his debut appearance in the nominations after being unexpectedly left off of the 30-person shortlist for the 2022 trophy.
But this time, Messi has been picked to win the title among the best in the world and will have to overcome rivals to win his seventh Ballon d’Or.
Many have predicted that Messi will win the trophy in 2023 after leading PSG to victory in Ligue 1 and Argentina to victory in the World Cup in December.
