Breaking News: Lagos doctor Olaleye bags life imprisonment for raping a minor: Doctor Olufemi Olaleye, the Medical Director of the Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday by the Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence sitting in Ikeja for defiling his wife’s niece.

The judge determined that all of the evidence presented to the court. This is to say, supported the victim’s account and that the prosecution had proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The Lagos State Government preferred two charges against Olaleye. Which included defilement and sexual assault by penetration of his wife’s niece. Olaleye was arraigned on these counts.
The Story Goes on
On November 30, 2022, the prisoner was arraigned and entered a not guilty plea to the offences.
The court was informed by Dr. Babajide Martins, the Director of Public Prosecutions, that Olaleye had committed the charges at some point between February 2020 and November 2021.
According to him, the crime was committed at 17 Layi Ogunbambi Close in Maryland, Lagos State.
Olaleye was charged with having sex with his wife’s 15-year-old niece without authorization.
Additionally, he was charged with forcing his penis into the teenager’s mouth in order to sexually attack her. The acts violated Sections 137 and 261 of Lagos State’s 2015 criminal code, according to the prosecutor.
Following his not guilty plea, Justice Oshodi granted him bail in the sum of N50 million. following two sureties in the same amount who must own landed property in Lagos state.

The judge also ordered that both sureties submit proof of tax payments to the Lagos state government in the previous three years.
Olaleye was also ordered by Justice Oshodi to deposit his international passport, including his British passport, and original documentation of landed property with the court’s registrar.
During the trial, the convict’s wife, Aderemi Olaleye, testified in court that her husband had sexually abused her niece while she was staying with them.
She testified that the prisoner first exposed the victim to pornography and oral sex before releasing sperm into her mouth
According to the witness, the girl told a relative and their driver that the doctor had been sleeping with her. Not only that, he also threatened to murder her and the witness if she told anybody.
The complainant, who is a mother of two, stated under oath,
“My lord, on November 27, 2021, my second cousin told my aunty who is my mother’s sister that since March 2020 Femi has been sexually abusing her and introduced her to pornography, from there he graduated to oral sex with her, that he does this in different places in the home where there are no cameras.”
