5 countries qualify for the AFCON Round of 16: The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON, is now taking place in Ivory Coast, and at least five nations have advanced to the Round of 16.

Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Senegal, Cape Verde, and Egypt are the five nations.
This comes after the Group A and Group B championship games on Monday.
Egypt, Nigeria, and Equatorial Guinea are the most recent nations to reserve their places in the final 16.

The host country, Ivory Coast, was 4-0 destroyed by Equatorial Guinea, while Guinea-Bissau was defeated 1-0 by Nigeria.
Egypt and Ghana each had a 2-2 match against Cape Verde and Mozambique, respectively.
