Through the IDEX scholarships, the Université Paris-Saclay seeks to facilitate access for highly qualified foreign students to its University, particularly those who wish to develop an academic project through research up to the doctoral level. These master’s (nationally-certified degree) programmes are taught in its member establishments.

Here are the essential details about the 2023 Université Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships:

Scholarship value/duration:

The annual scholarship award is €10,000. It is funded by Université Paris-Saclay for the entire length of the school year and for a minimum of 10 months in a row each year. (September to June). Depending on the candidate’s nation of origin, a travel and visa expense allowance of up to €1,000 may also be given.

Depending on the admission level (M1 or M2), these scholarships are given out for one or two years. Students must also earn the necessary amount of credits to move up a year level.

Those who are eligible:

AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, and UVSQ are just a few of the institutions that accept students to their master’s programmes at the Université Paris-Saclay. Only those of these pupils who respond positively to one of the following questions are permitted to apply:

International students who have just come and are under 30 during the selection year.
Foreign students who have resided in France for less than a year and who have either recently or presently enrolled in a non-certificatory training programme or internship.
Foreign-nationality students attending language classes while spending less than a year on French soil (type FFL).
Students who have previously resided in France as part of a study-related mobility scheme (such as an exchange program, an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree, etc.) that did not result in certification.

Those who are ineligible:

Everyone who has attended or is currently enrolled in a French higher education institution for academic purposes, with the exception of international students who are enrolled in French higher education schools abroad.
People whose education has been suspended for more than three years running.
Students who are recipients of any other scholarship whose monthly award surpasses €650.

Université Paris-Saclay International Master’s Scholarships Application guidelines

Students must first be accepted into one of Université Paris-Saclay’s Master’s programmes in order to be eligible for the bursaries. Being accepted into the University’s master’s programme does not guarantee that you will receive financial aid.
Students who have been chosen will immediately receive an email with a link to an online application form. Students can only apply if they get an email from Université Paris-Saclay asking them to do so for a Université Paris-Saclay IDEX scholarship. Unsolicited applications are not accepted.
To be considered for admission, applications must be submitted by 10 May 2023. Applications for scholarships must be submitted by 12 May 2023.
