FRSC Recruitment General Requirements
- For all cadres, having computer literacy and a current driver’s license is advantageous.
- The advancement of your career cannot be based on certificates or qualifications that were not presented during recruitment.
- Candidates must have been born in Nigeria.
- It is necessary to be medically fit, and a government hospital must certify this.
- Age restriction: 18 to 30 years old in 2023 (exceptions: doctors, 36 years, articulated vehicle drivers, 35 years).
- Every applicant must be single
- Males must be 1.68 meters tall, while girls must be 1.64 meters tall.
- Both lawyers and medical practitioners must hold active licenses to practice law.
- Male applicants must have a minimum enlarged chest size of 0.87 meters.
- Requirements include financial security, moral integrity, and a clear criminal record.
- Tattoos are not permitted on any area of the body.
- Online applications must be submitted using a personal email address and phone number.
- Pregnant candidates are not eligible
- Physical Fitness is a requirement.
Specific Requirements for FRSC Recruitment

RMA Corps
a. Road Marshal Assistant II
- A minimum of 5 SSCE/GCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, is required for applicants.
b. Road Marshal Assistant III
- A minimum of three (3) SSCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) credits are required, one of which must be in English.
c. Artisans and Tradesmen – Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for positions as Computer Operators, Drivers, Mechanics, Motorcycle Riders, Electricians, Instrumentalists, Tailors, Plumbers, and others:
- a minimum of 4 victories in the NABTEB or the SSCE (WAEC/NECO).
- Trade test or further professional certifications.
- Both drivers and passengers must have valid driver’s licenses in the relevant class.
d. Drivers and Riders
- Suitable class of a current national drivers license.
- Trade test or further professional certifications.
SSCE/GCE attempts (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB).
MI Cadre
a. Marshal Inspector I
- Having two qualifications Radiographers from accredited institutes, RNs and RMs, pediatric nurses, anesthetist
- nurses, orthopedic nurses, and accident and emergency nurses.
b. Martshal Inspector II
- NCE, or Nigerian Certificate of Education, in the pertinent fields.
- (RN/RM) Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- Statement of Results: 5 years or less.
c. Marshal Inspector III
- ND, or National Diploma.
- Certificate for Senior Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW).
- Dental technicians, pharmacy technicians, and medical laboratory technicians.

- first degree or HND from accredited educational institutions.
- Discharge/Exemption Certificate from NYSC.
Cadre Officer (MBBS)
- a Bachelor’s degree in medicine from a university that is respected.
- Discharge Certificate from NYSC.
